| KRISTI VISOCKY MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
This fifth annual event is held in memory of Kristi Visocky who was killed in an auto accident in May of 2003. Determined to keep alive the spirit and compassion of a young woman who was a strong champion of the underdog and supporter of troubled youth, the Kristi Visocky Memorial Fund was set up to provide scholarships and assistance to area young people. Last year’s tournament awarded seven $2,000 scholarships to area young women to help further their educational endeavors. Proceeds from the 2007 tournament will again go to provide scholarships for young women wishing to continue their education in non-traditional areas, such as hair dresser, culinary arts, or other vocations that often do not offer scholarship or grant funding. 308 golfers took part in this fun-filled tournament last year, making it the largest tournament in Fort Collins. We expect another full course again this year. Activities start on Friday, July 27 with a Kick Off party that includes food, spirits, music by After the Fire, a silent auction and prizes.
